“Well, I’m Sam Darris, and basically my life boils down to this: if you hand me a guitar and a microphone, I’ll make some noise. I’m a singer, songwriter, and, just to keep things uncomplicated, I also produce my own stories here in Barcelona, Spain. While it’s true that my voice (they say) has an emotional edge, and I love wrapping songs in very melodic arrangements, my greatest life achievement is having survived television. Yes, in the name of doing ‘the audition of your life,’ you could see me suffer (and sing!) on shows like The Voice, X Factor, and Got Talent. It’s an experience that makes you realize that, in the end, the real magic is created off-camera, composing and sharing albums. Ultimately, I just want my songs to keep you company as much as my guitar keeps me company.”

Following this intense experience recording covers, Sam Darris underwent a natural transition toward the pure acoustic format. This shift was driven by the need to strip his music down to its essence, focusing on the immediacy of the voice and the acoustic guitar.
